I don’t know about you, but I’m getting a little stir crazy. This house arrest for public safety is starting to get on my nerves. Although, it has spawned some pretty funny pictures on Facebook. In one, a woman is digging a grave in the backyard and tells her husband she’s planting potatoes, hilarious. Or, the picture of a mom working from home, with her kid gagged and duct-taped to the floor behind her chair. Comedy Gold. Let’s face it, if we don’t have a good sense of humor, we’ll all go nuts! Right? RIGHT?!
I do have to say though, my to-do list is getting smaller by the day. Eventually, I’ll be all caught up, then what? I think we’re all getting a preview of the world in the movie I, Robot. What will we do when all the jobs are taken over by robots? When all of humanity just sits around waiting for their next Universal Basic Income check to arrive. It doesn’t seem like utopia is all it’s cracked up to be.
Today, we live in a world with vast learning resources at our fingertips. As long as the Internet stays up (did I just say that out loud?). Let’s use this period of house arrest constructively. Once all your chores are done, it’s time to learn about all that stuff you were going to get to someday. Well, someday is here. No more excuses. After you finish duct-taping your kid to the floor, sit down and learn a new language, or maybe read up about child abuse. The world is your oyster.
Listed below are some of the links I have been sharing on Facebook. Many of these are virtual tours of some of the most amazing spots in the world. Travel the world from your living room!
